TeacherBridge Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 28, 2026
TeacherBridge helps educators draft, review, translate, and document family communications. Teachers remain in control and TeacherBridge never sends messages automatically.
Data we process
TeacherBridge stores user preferences, accepted privacy notices, teacher-created communication logs, and follow-up reminders locally in the user’s Chrome profile. Account email and authentication data are processed by Firebase. When a signed-in teacher requests an AI-assisted draft or translation, the teacher-entered message fields are sent securely to the TeacherBridge cloud service and OpenAI to provide that requested feature. Stripe processes subscriptions and billing; TeacherBridge does not receive full payment-card details.
Use and sharing
Data is used only to provide TeacherBridge’s communication, account, and subscription features. TeacherBridge does not sell user data, use it for advertising, determine creditworthiness, or use it for purposes unrelated to the extension’s single purpose. Service providers process data only as needed to provide their contracted services.
Teacher responsibilities
Educators should follow school and district privacy requirements, avoid unnecessary sensitive information, use only approved identifiers, and review every draft before copying, exporting, or using it.
Retention and deletion
Local communication logs can be removed by clearing the extension’s stored data or uninstalling the extension. Account, subscription, or service-data deletion requests can be made through the support contact on the Chrome Web Store listing.
